Couldn't ask for a better guide. Other reviews suggested the author was copying/pasting. NO. WAY! He clearly knows the a7iii very, very well and has used it. More than just a list of what the buttons and features do. I'd say content is 70% comprehensive details about the mechanical workings/menus/features, the other 30% (or better) is recommendations on how/when/why to use said controls to make your photography experience much more enjoyable. I've learned an awful lot more about digital mirrorless photography than I expected. (Didn't know Sony designs and manufactures their own sensors, contributing to the accelerated advancements of it's amazing sophistication! Did you know this is the first mirrorless to use both contrast and phase/rangefinder type methodology for finding focus?)On occasion, the author alerts you to a couple oddities he points out about the design, calling out Sony a little about a couple quirks of advanced operation. Gives you a solid sense of frankness and honesty on the part of the author. However, the vast majority of the time, I found his explanation of exactly why this particular model is such a flagship for Sony and inspiration to others added to my enthusiasm and full satisfaction that I indeed probably bought exactly the right camera body for me. Actually wish I'd read it prior to the purchase, as I probably would have dismissed several higher priced, newer models much sooner. They're just not necessary for an enthusiast like me, and this a7iii is going to prove it's worthiness for many, many years to come. Really enjoyed a bit of enthusiasm scattered all about the intense volume of info!If I got my hands on a different camera tomorrow, I would buy his guide for it too. I'd even consider buying the book BEFORE the camera.Seriously, it's that good!
