The HB-89 is a flower type bayonet style lens hood designed for use with certain NIKKOR lenses. It is designed to keep flare from reaching the lens while shooting.
The HB-85 Lens Hood, designed specifically for the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens, reduces flare by diverting stray light away from the lens. The lens is further shielded by the hood against unintentional knocks, bumps, and scratches. It is provided here as a backup or swap for the one that came with the lens at first.
