The adapter that allows you to attach your camera broke. I couldn't use it on my trip to the Grand Cayman Islands for snorkeling.Works great. Floats, easy to see in water. Very waterproof yet still able to use all of the features of the camera. Very clear picture under and out of water.Don’t really recommend cheap plastic didnt even get to use once and it already brokeWorked well. It definitely will float the Sony as300 action camera. If you’re a fan of GoPro video capture you’ll appreciate that the first thing that popped into my head was “ooh, this could be used while kayaking!” And that’s exactly how it’s going to be used. The handle is wide, with a sturdy non-slip grip and an adjustable safety strap that helps prevent it from being dropped. And even if you do drop it, the handle floats so your GoPro does too. The bright orange makes it easily visible in the water or in the bottom of your boat. Yes, a floating camera handle is a bit single purpose, but if you’re a water sports fan and you also like filming your adventures, then it makes perfect sense. A fun little toy for GoPro fans at a reasonable price.I got one of these for SCUBA diving. I really love the ergonomics and the wrist strap. I added a bolt-snap to the bottom and it still floats. The only disappointing thing is that it does not do well past ~30 ft. As you go deeper, it starts to deform. Finally, at 100 ft it's flatter than a pancake and very awkward to hold. This GoPro pole is a very solid well-functioning device. It floats - pole facing upwards and camera facing down - so you can easily spot the bright orange and white handle. It feels sturdy made from heavy plastics and rubber. Two issues - 1: the handle does not telescope. 2: this does not come with the adapter needed to screw your gopro onto the handle itself. I needed to go back to Amazon and purchase the adapter. Now, with both of these items, there was no deception or confusion on the product side...only my own. I think the lack of an adapter should be more clearly stated in the marketing materials and/or offered with the handle. For what it does, this performs well. It is a fancy handgrip with a standard 1/4-20 camera mount. I used it with my non-GoPro action camera and it worked as expected. The grip is comfortable and the silicone cover feels good and ergonomic. I especially like the neoprene strap that holds the grip snugly against the hand. Other grips have loose straps that do little more than prevent camera drops. The only negative of this grip is the price. It seems a little expensive for a fixed grip.
